Men's Ministries
What do men want? Do men envision the ideal church service as one which includes a remote control in their right-hand, a cold beverage in their left, a lazy-boy pew, and attractive singers in miniskirts? Well, maybe, but not necessarily. However, very often churches don’t offer any programs that appeal to men’s penchant for risk, challenge, sacrifice, action and adventure. And, sometimes, our wants don't match what we really need. Our various men's ministries are aimed at helping guys connect to other guys in social, athletic and relational opportunities.
TUESDAY MORNING MEN’S GROUP
Meets every Tuesday, 6:45am-8am.
The purpose of the Tuesday Morning Men’s Group is to enfold men (visitors, church members, regular attendees, believers and non-believers) by providing a ‘men’s only’ forum where distinctively male-specific issues can be discussed, confessed and addressed. Time is given to both instruction and discussion. Men are equipped by solid Bible-based, Christ-centered, gospel-applied and real-to-life-oriented teaching. Men are engaged in counter-cultural relationships based on transparency, authenticity, honesty, vulnerability and accountability. They are inspired and equipped to engage their individual worlds as husbands, fathers, sons, siblings, friends, co-workers and citizens.

In a Different Light (Luke 12) - Jesus Christ's coming changes everything. The momentous event of God becoming man calls for a change of viewpoint and behavior in every area of life. This time between the two comings of Jesus is a new day of salvation in which all human values are revalued. Jesus is the true revoluntionary and leader fo the 'new age.' This 10 week study runs through March 6th.
TUESDAY NIGHT MEN'S GROUP
Solomon: The Temptations of Money, Sex and Power: Come along as we examine Solomon’s divine gift of wisdom, his startling passions and his grand achievements - as well as his grievous sins and the greater grace of Christ. You will simultaneously be warned of Satan’s subtle and entangling schemes through the idolatrous pursuits of sex, money and power, and be prompted to see the sufficiency fo the great King, Jesus Christ. Starts Tuesday, Feb. 28, every other Tuesday night in Room 205 from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

SATURDAY MORNING "TRAVEL TEAM" BIBLE STUDY
This early morning meeting (6am-7:15am) is geared for those who travel during the week but don't want to miss out on family time on Saturdays. Before the family wakes up get some good discussion, teaching and interaction and challenge from other guys. New Study starting January 7 through April 14, 2012. CHANGE: When the subject of how people change is brought up amoung Christians, so often all that is said is simply "trust God" or just "give" something to God. But in real life, why is it never that easy? This book is about the truths of the Gospel bearing down on daily life. If you want to see the deep connection between your daily life and how change, rooted in the gospel, takes place, then this book is for you. So often advice we're given simply tells us what to do and what not to do, while completely ignoring what is going on in the heart. This book will help you see yourself and others in a new way that is centered in the gospel. Every Saturday morning,and, yes, you read it right, 6AM!
